Helping East Lancs Hospice.

We are delighted to have once again teamed up with local Charity, East Lancashire Hospice, as the headline sponsor of their annual Corporate Challenge. This fantastic initiative pits businesses against each other in a fundraising challenge that lasts several months.

The Corporate Challenge raises valuable funds to provide care for local people, who are coping with a life-limiting illness at a time when they need it most. All businesses taking part are given £50 with the challenge of turning it into as much as they can within a six-month period, this year running from April 1st until September 30th 2018.

How do they turn their £50 into sometimes more than £5000? That is up to them.

In previous years businesses and the individuals within them have set themselves cycling, running and other sporting challenges to raise money focusing on raising a little from a lot. Others have focused instead on finding large donations from a select few. Either way you know that they want to win as much as they want to raise funds for this amazing charity.

“It’s an honour to be able to support the Corporate Challenge for a second consecutive year. I was amazed at how much money was raised by the businesses who took part last year, a fantastic £34,000.

Being in the insurance business, a lot of what we do is about helping people prepare and cope financially with difficult situations and supporting this challenge is another way we can help. We can’t do the caring part, but East Lancashire Hospice can. They are a true inspiration.

Most people know someone who has had to use the hospice, or may need to access one in their lifetime, and the money raised from this years’ challenge will help to ensure it’s there to help families who need it.” – Chris Ridehalgh, Director, Organic
